How is the classification worked out?

It calculates a credit-weighted mean — each module mark is multiplied by its credits, summed, and divided by total credits — then maps it to the standard UK bands: 70%+ First, 60%+ 2:1, 50%+ 2:2, 40%+ Third, below 40% a fail.

Will this match my university exactly?

It gives the standard credit-weighted estimate, but universities vary — some weight later years more heavily, ignore the first year, or apply borderline and rounding rules. Always check your institution's classification scheme for the definitive result.

Are my marks sent anywhere?
