Why does my SVG need a background colour?

JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas of the SVG are filled with the background colour you pick (white by default) before encoding.

How do I keep the file small?

Lower the quality slider. JPG is lossy, so a quality around 80 to 90 percent usually looks indistinguishable from the original while being much smaller.

Is anything uploaded?
