How is the fuel cost worked out?

In metric mode the tool multiplies distance by your L/100km figure to find litres used, then multiplies by the price per litre. In imperial mode it divides distance by MPG to find gallons used, then multiplies by the price per gallon.

Does this include tolls, parking or wear and tear?

No — it estimates fuel cost only. Add tolls, parking and other costs separately for a full trip budget.

Is my trip data uploaded anywhere?

No. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded or stored.
