Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is drawn onto a canvas inside your browser and never leaves your device.

Can I tile the watermark across the whole image?

Yes. Choose the Tiled position to repeat a diagonal watermark across the entire photo, which is much harder to crop or clone out than a single corner mark.

What format is the output?

The watermarked image is exported as a PNG so the text stays crisp and the original pixels are preserved losslessly.

Where can I place the watermark?

Six positions: the four corners (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right), centred, or tiled diagonally across the whole image.

Can I adjust how visible the watermark is?

Yes. Opacity runs from 5% to 100% and font size from 10px to 120px, so you can make a subtle near-transparent mark or a bold prominent one. You can also pick any text colour.

Does it add an image or logo watermark?

This tool stamps text only (your name, brand, © notice or URL). For a logo overlay you would composite the logo separately; text keeps the output crisp at any size.

Will the watermark survive if someone screenshots my photo?

Yes — the watermark is baked into the pixels, so it appears in screenshots and re-shares. A tiled, semi-opaque watermark is the hardest to remove cleanly.

How it works

When you load an image it’s drawn onto a <canvas> at full resolution. The tool sets globalAlpha to your chosen opacity and fills the text in your chosen colour and font size. For corner and centre positions it measures the text width and offsets it with padding; for Tiled it loops across the canvas, rotating each repetition by −30° so the mark covers the whole photo diagonally. The result is exported with canvas.toDataURL("image/png"). The preview updates live as you change any setting.

You’re listing furniture for sale and want to deter image theft. Load the photo, type © yourshop.com, set position to Tiled, colour to white, size 36px and opacity 40%. A faint diagonal grid of your URL now covers the whole image, so a cropped screenshot still carries your mark. Click Download PNG to save sofa-watermarked.png.
