How is the hourly rate calculated?

Annual income is divided by total working hours, where total hours = hours per week × working weeks per year. For example, 52000 ÷ (40 × 52) = 25 per hour.

How many working weeks should I use?

Use 52 for a simple full-year figure, or subtract your holiday and unpaid weeks for a more accurate rate. Using fewer weeks raises the effective hourly rate.
